Registration and Basic Candidate Information for INI-CET for admission to PG courses July 2021 session

The Registration and Basic candidate information for admission to PG courses of INIs for July 2021 session will be started form 05:00 pm on Monday, the 1st March, 2021 to Wednesday, the 31st March, 2021 by 05:00 pm. The date(s) of Completion of Application form will be notified soon.

All applicants who have applied earlier and whose Registration and Basic Candidate Information have been accepted for January 2019, July 2019, January 2020, July 2020 session & January 2021 session are not required to fill the Registration and Basic candidate information again.   They will have to complete Application form only after Generation of fresh Exam Unique Code(EUC) for INI-CET July 2021 session which will start at later date to be announced.

AIIMS-PG (MD/MS/M.Ch (6 years) /DM(6 years)/MDS) July, 2021 Session
Entrance Examination: 09th May, 2021 (Sunday)
Result Notification: 15th May,2021 (Saturday)

Institute of National Importance Combined Entrance Test (INI-CET)

It is for the information of the aspirants of PGIMER MD/MS course of January-2021 session that a combined entrance examination i.e. Institute of National Importance Combined Entrance Test (INI-CET) for admission to PG course of AIIMS New Delhi, JIPMER Puducherry, NIMHANS Bengaluru and PGIMER Chandigarh and seven other AIIMS (Bhopal, Bhubaneshwar, Jodhpur, Nagpur, Patna, Raipur &  Rishikesh) for January-2021 session will be conducted by AIIMS New Delhi.

Computer based Test (CBT) will be held on Friday, 20th November, 2020 at various centres across all over India.

POSTGRADUATE INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL EDUCATION AND RESEARCH CHANDIGARH

The Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research was conceived and planned in 1960 to create an “ISLAND OF EXCELLENCE” in Chandigarh, providing physical and intellectual milieu for young scientists working in multiple disciplines of medicine, to advance the frontiers of knowledge, to render humane service to the sick and suffering, and to train medical and paramedical manpower.The Institute was established in 1962 under the erstwhile state of Punjab. It was declared an Institute of National Importance by an Act of Parliament (Sr. No. 51 of 1966) w.e.f. 1st April, 1967.  

Admission to various PGIMER postgraduate courses conducted at the Institute is made twice a year. The sessions commence from first January and first July each year.

The Institute follows a Residency Service-cum-Training Scheme. Candidates admitted to MD/MS courses are called Junior Residents.

The admission to the above courses of the Institute is made on merit on all India basis, by holding an entrance examination by the PGIMER Institute, after issuing a countrywide admission notice.  The admission notice is published in leading English newspapers Employment News of India in the month of September/Oct for January session and March/April for July session.

PGIMER MD/MS Eligibility :
a) Must have passed MBBS from a University/ Institute recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI).
b) Must have either completed or due to complete one year rotatory internship training on or before 31st December/30th June for January and July session respectively.
c) Must be registered with Central /State Medical Registration Council.
d) The candidates completing internship after 31.12.2019 are not eligible for MD/MS course.

PGIMER MD/MS Selection Procedure :

• Candidates will be considered for selection to PGIMER MD/MS courses based on a Computer Based Test Entrance Examination.
• The PGIMER MD/MS Entrance Test shall be held on the Saturday, the 23rd May, 2020 and duration shall be 3 hours (Three hours/180 minutes) for MD/MS courses.
• The Online (CBT) Entrance Test will be conducted in one shift : Timing – 10.00 AM to 01.00 PM.  

PGIMER Examination Centres : Applicants should indicate his/her choice of city of  examination at the time of filling online application form.
The city chosen is subject to confirmation of payment of the examination fee. The city of examination shall be allotted on first-come first-serve basis subject to availability of nodes in respective city.

The city of examination once chosen and allotted will not be changed.

Duration Of PGIMER MD/MS Course and Emoluments
The MD/MS course has duration of three academic years.  During this period, the
Junior Residents except Sponsored candidates are entitled to emoluments as prescribed by the Government of India. At present, this translates to basic pay of Rs.56100/- in the pay matrix (Level-10) as per 7th CPC plus other allowances as applicable.

He/She should fill all the fields/columns of the form.

For All Other categories: INR 1500/- + Transaction Charges as applicable
SC/ST : INR 1200/- + Transaction Charges as applicable
PwBD Candidates : Exempted for payment of Application / Examination Fee   

MODE OF PAYMENT: Through Debit / Credit Card / Net Banking

The candidate should deposit the application fee through payment gateway.

No representation/ request/ demand for refund of application fees will be entertained if the candidate fails to apply within the stipulated time after payment of application fee.

Candidates must note that no other form of payment of application fees like Demand Draft, Banker Cheque, Money Order, Postal order, Challan form etc. will be accepted under any circumstances.
